Digital leaders, CEOs, heads of global pharmaceutical giants, innovative start ups and even a former Secretary of State gathered nine floors up at Google London to discuss the present and future challenges of delivering pioneering healthcare.
More than 250 guests at The Future Health event were there to network and hear keynote speakers. The level of passion they had for their groundbreaking work created so much energy in the room it might have been felt on Tottenham Court Road below!
Former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock joined a panel of experts to discuss the future of health care and med tech in the UK and throughout the world.
Also on the panel was Head of Digital Health Bayer UK, Nigel Brokenshire, Senior Vice President of event sponsors DataArt, Julie Pelta, CEO of Jiva.ai, Dr Manish Patel, and Head of Partnerships at Ufonia, Dr Priya Sadhwani.
The discussion was chaired by The Future Health’s Lloyd Price.
The central message was that, despite challenges, the UK’s HealthTech sector was thriving, creating better outcomes for patients and clients across the country, drastically cutting diagnostic times in many cases and enriching data and information for clinical practitioners.
As important as the panel discussion was the cross-pollination of ideas among HealthTech industry leaders afterwards. New relationships and opportunities were created on the spot, one of the key goals of the evening.
The Future Health, run by four partners with huge experience in the sector, has been established to help bring together HealthTech companies, many of them small innovative start ups, to help promote opportunities, improve collaboration and platform idea exchanges.
It has rapidly become a leading forum in the UK with more than 87,000 subscribers to its newsletters.
The next event will be in Leeds on May 8th 2025.
